The Symposium Scientific Committee and others have expressed concern following discussion of a possible boycott by the UCU against Israeli academics and academic institutions
(see http://www.ucu.org.uk/index.cfm?articleid=2622).

The Department and the symposium organisers would like to assure everyone that the Warwick symposium is open to all interested mathematicians, and that the programme and speakers have been chosen solely with regard to the usual scientific criteria.
