CALCULUS OF VARIATIONS

| The past decade has witnessed an enormous success and progress in connection with a number of longstanding problems of critical point theory in the calculus of variations. At the same time the new research has led to formation of further unsolved and fundamental open problems that point at interesting and deep connections between the latter and other mathematical disciplines such as algebraic and differential topology, regularity theory for elliptic systems, geometric measure theory and aspects of real and harmonic analysis. The aim of the workshop is to address these developments through a series of lectures by a number of most prominent researchers in the field. | ||
