Geometric Analysis

. ........
Warwick has played a central role in the development of the theory of harmonic maps over the past few decades, the group being founded by Jim Eells. This field and the related area of non-linear PDEs is currently being pursued by Topping, Micallef and Markovic.

Other main topics of interest include minimal surfaces, willmore surfaces, isoperimetric inequalities and mean curvature flow (Topping and Micallef) and geometric hydrodynamics.
