Announcements:

The EPSRC grant funding the research network was completed on Feb 28, 2007

  • Workshop details can be found under Past events
  • Published work and preprints can be found under Preprints
  • Materials from some of the previous workshops
    • Materials from the meeting at The University of Sussex on 22nd–24th February 2007 are available here under the links to talks of individual contributors.
    • Materials from the meeting at The University of Sussex on 13th–15th July 2005 are available here.
    • Materials from the network kick-off meeting on 15th–17th April 2004 at The University of Warwick are now availiable here.

The research programme of this network focuses on specific themes that share similar multi-scale and multi-physics features and involves collaboration between different nodes of the network.

Themes I,II,III are centered around and connected through the unifying features in the numerical simulations of the physical and engineering applications under consideration. The simulations are computationally intensive due to multiplicity of scales and require development and analysis of novel, computationally robust, and efficient tools.

Theme I: Phase Field and Diffuse Interface Models
    Theme II: Polymeric Fluids
Theme III: Connecting Microscopic and Continuum Models in Computations

The EPSRC funded network provides a framework and resources for pursuing collaborative research and exploring innovative methodology for multi-scale computations in various fields of applications.
